The ebbs and flows of life, and the wonder in the little things, inspire me.

My work isn't only a personal endeavor, or a selfish creative outlet. Yes, it is deeply personal, but I'd like it to be a space for emotional response and dialogue.​

 

It's rooted in lyrical abstraction, guided by an automatist process that allows my artworks to unfold intuitively, delicately, and dynamically through the use of watercolor and ink. Though much of my process is intuitive, there's something that I just don’t entirely leave to chance: color. I always carefully premeditate my palette before starting, because I believe in its introspective power and the dialogue it can inspire.
